MANILA (PNA) — Schools in far-flung areas will receive textbooks from the Department of Education (DepEd) through the 2008 National Textbook Delivery Program.
“Talking about DepEd would also be talking about the Filipinos’ time-tested and revered value of Bayanihan. Through the “Textbook Walk,†the department, CSOs, NGOs and other partners are walking the talk on textbooks,†Education secretary Jesli Lapus said.
The “Textbook Walk†is the brainchild of the Ateneo School of Government’s G-Watch. It was successfully piloted in four DepEd divisions last year.
