Many schools seek fee hike

MANY PRIVATE ELEMENTARY and secondary schools have applied for tuition increases ranging from 2 to 10 percent for the incoming school year, an education official said Saturday.


According to Teresita Domalanta, director for the National Capital Region of the Department of Education, as of Friday, 62 high schools and 54 elementary schools, many of them Catholic, had submitted their “intention to increase” their fees.
