53 Metro Manila private schools seek tuition fee hike

MANILA, May 8 (PNA)-Fifty-three private elementary schools in Metro Manila have asked the Department of Education to allow them to increase the tuition fees they charge their pupils starting in School year 2008-2009.
The petitions have been filed before Deped-National Capital Region.DepEd-NCR Director Teresita Domalanta said all tuition hike petitions must be submitted before or on May 15 for deliberations before implementation of the school fee adjustments.

DepEd enlists community support for school opening
