Davao City (14 May) — One of DepED’s desires is to teach schoolchildren not only the basic foundations of life skills but also awareness in everything that possesses value.
With this, the Tulong-Barya Para Sa Eswela (TBPSE) campaign, which was successfully launched in CY 2006, will continue this year to give emphasis on the value of the coins even of the lowest denomination.
The main objectives of this project are to promote coin recirculation and raise funds for the benefit of public elementary schools. Last year, 22 outstanding public schools implementers in Region XI were awarded computer units purchased by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas out of the proceeds of the TBPSE.
