MANILA, May 8 (PNA) – Young Filipinos are becoming too obsessed with online games that they tend to neglect their studies, an expert warned.Ester Ogena, Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DoST-SEI) director, said that youngsters nowadays are spending too much time in front of the computer to play online games, most of which contain violence.
Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, Defense of the Ancients (DOTA), Counter-Strike, Ragnarok, Granado Espada and Lineage 2 are just some of the most famous online games. Students have been known to flock to Internet cafes for endless hours just to play.
