Tacloban City (2 May) — In support to the Global Movement on Education for All or EFA, in which one of the components is the universal participation and total elimination of drop-outs and repetitions in Grades 1-3, Executive order No. 685 has been issued to the Department of Education (DepEd), which mandates them to expand the pre-school coverage to include those children enrolled in Day Care Centers.
