MANILA, May 4 (PNA) — The Department of Education (DepEd) has predicted an increase in the number of undernourished public school children to 20-22 percent, this coming school year, from two million last year.
During Sunday’s Balitaan sa Tinapayan in Sampaloc, Manila, Magdalene Portia-Cariaga of the DepEd, however, assured the public that department started crafting mitigating measures to address the issue of undernourished students such as feeding and medical programs.
