TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) will discontinue the food-for-school program in the Eastern Visayas provinces, except in Northern Samar, starting June.
DepEd regional director Sol Matugas said their office received a communication from their central office informing them of the program’s cancellation due to the rice supply crisis.
