MANILA, May 2 (PNA) – A lawmaker has sought to prioritize the shortage of classrooms in public schools nationwide as a result of the significant increase in the transfer of students from private schools.

“Over the past years, class sizes have ballooned to 65 per class on average, with some 90 above in extreme cases due to high population growth rate and a significantly large transfer of students from private high schools,” Rep. Rufus B. Rodriguez (2nd district, Cagayan de Oro).
